HYBE’s Failed Attempt to Buy Her Out

Hey seoul crushers!

So, get this – on September 26, Min Hee Jin dropped a bombshell. You know, the day after she said “no thanks” to ADOR’s offer to come back as a board member. She’s claiming HYBE tried to buy her silence!

In a chat with JoongAng Ilbo, someone asked her about all the buzz around a huge stock option worth about 75 million bucks. But Min Hee Jin was like, “Nah, that’s not even the half of it.” She spilled the tea that HYBE actually tried to pay her off to leave, but she wasn’t having any of it.

Here’s what she said, word for word:

“After winning the injunction in May, HYBE came to me with a negotiation proposal saying, ‘We’ll give you money. Take it and leave.’ But I rejected it because money was not my objective”.

Min didn’t stop there. She’s saying her getting kicked out as ADOR’s CEO was like a public execution, just because she dared to stand up to the big bosses at HYBE.

Former Ador CEO Min Hee-jin has filed a court injunction seeking reelection as an internal director of the K-pop label's board, with an aim to eventually reclaim her CEO position, weeks after being ousted from the role.

But hold up – HYBE’s not taking this lying down. They fired back real quick, saying “No way, we never offered her money to leave.” They’re sticking to their guns that kicking her out was totally fair, based on some internal digging they did.

Oh, and by the way, Min Hee Jin recently turned down ADOR’s olive branch to come back as a board member. She basically said, “Thanks, but no thanks – I don’t trust you guys.”

Min Hee-jin, CEO of Ador, a sublabel of K-pop giant HYBE, declined to convene a board of directors meeting requested by HYBE, industry sources said Monday, as the two parties continued to exchange salvos in their ongoing dispute.

Crazy stuff, right? It’s like a K-pop soap opera out there!
