Hey seoul crushers!
Did you hear the news about NCT’s Jaehyun? Looks like he’s trading his mic for military boots come November 4th!
So, here’s the scoop: Star News got the inside info that Jaehyun’s gonna start his mandatory military service on November 4th. But get this – he’s not just doing regular service. Nope, our boy’s gonna be in the military band after he finishes basic training. If my math’s right, that means he’ll be back in civilian clothes around May 3, 2026.
Fun fact: Jaehyun’s actually the second NCT member to serve. Remember when Taeyong joined up back in April 2024? Time flies, right?
Now, SM Entertainment’s confirmed all this. They said, “NCT’s Jaehyun applied to join the military band, and today he received his notice of acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration. Therefore, he will join the military on November 4 and fulfill his mandatory service.”
But here’s the thing – they’re not doing any big send-off. SM explained, “Since [the dropoff venue] is a place where a large number of soldiers and their families are on the day of enlistment, there will be no separate event to prevent any accidents caused by crowding at the venue. We ask for your support and love until Jaehyun returns in a healthy state after his military service”.
So, no tearful goodbyes at the gates, folks. But hey, let’s show our boy some love from afar, yeah?
