Okay, so here’s the deal: ADOR tried to make nice with their ex-CEO Min Hee Jin. They offered her a spot on the board of directors, but they weren’t budging on letting her be CEO again. This is even after NewJeans basically said, “Bring her back or else!”

On September 25, ADOR came out with an official statement. They said their board agreed to have a special meeting on October 17 to maybe bring Min Hee Jin back as a director.

They also spilled that on September 11, they’d offered to let Min oversee NewJeans’ production for the next five years. But here’s the kicker – they made it crystal clear that her coming back as CEO was a big fat “Nope!”

Now, Min Hee Jin wasn’t having any of this. She shot back with her own statement, basically saying, “Thanks, but no thanks.” She called their offer a bunch of fancy words with no real meaning. She pointed out there was no guarantee she’d actually get that board member spot.

Her reps said, “Since the appointment of an inside director is decided by the major shareholder, HYBE, it is uncertain at this point whether former CEO Min Hee Jin will be reappointed as an inside director”.

Min Hee Jin also turned down ADOR’s offer to keep producing for NewJeans. She said the offer wasn’t legit and had the same old “toxic clauses” they wouldn’t budge on before.

According to Min Hee Jin, she’s worried that if she agrees to a sketchy contract, she might not be able to make sure NewJeans can do their thing normally. So, she wants to come back as CEO with a contract that shows HYBE really means business.

Her statement wrapped up on a pretty suspicious note. She accused HYBE of playing games with the media to hide something bigger.

Her reps said, “It became clear this morning that HYBE is conducting media activities to disparage the achievements of its affiliated artists. We doubt what else they’re trying to hide by urgently making a statement today and whether they are attempting to drive a wedge between Min Hee Jin and NewJeans”.

As of now, HYBE hasn’t said anything back to Min’s statement.

We’ll keep you posted on any new developments, so stay tuned!
