Hey seoul crushers!,
Did you hear about Lee Se Young’s recent interview? She opened up about the challenges of becoming famous as a kid. Wild stuff!
So, Lee was on this show called Yoo Quiz on the Block, and she shared this crazy story about betrayal. Get this – she became super popular after starring in this K-Drama called Jewel in the Palace back in 2003. She was only 11 at the time! Can you imagine?
Even though her character was kind of a bad guy, Lee said she got a lot of love at school. But here’s where it gets intense – that newfound fame gave her a reality check real quick. Turns out, one of her trusted friends was secretly running an anti-fan site about her! Talk about a backstabber, right?
Lee admitted she was too young to really get what was happening, even though her parents tried to warn her. She said, “It was during my first year of middle school. My parents were looking at something on the computer and warned me, ‘Don’t be too close to the friend you’re hanging out with these days.’ At the time, I pretended not to hear them”.
It wasn’t until her other school friends spilled the beans that Lee finally caught on. She even confronted the so-called friend, but guess what? That person kept running the anti-fan site anyway! Lee shared, “One day at school, my other friends asked me, ‘Why are you hanging out with her when she created an anti-fan site for you?’…When I asked, ‘Did you do that?’ they replied, ‘I did. I’m sorry.’ But even after that, they kept operating the site”.
But you know what? Lee’s a total boss. She didn’t let this heartbreak stop her. She’s been in the acting game since 1997 – that’s 27 years, folks! Talk about staying power. She’s faced some tough times, but she’s still going strong in the industry. Pretty impressive, huh?
